About Us

Morale Homes is a provider of supported living accommodation services for young people with;

Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Risk of Sexual Exploitation, and Asylum Seekers.

Morale Homes are a provider of high quality supported living accommodation to children, young people and adolescents to live an independent lifestyle.

We understand some of the young people referred to us may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

We recognise the need for service user led services, placing the individual at every decision making process, ensuring that support is tailored to their needs and preferences and not confounded by tradition service-led "one model for all" approaches which have been used in the past by some providers, which has led to individuals not receiving the right support at the right time.

We encourage everyone to take part in the activities that they enjoy, from social and leisure activities to educational and work opportunities.

Our specialist team will work with everyone to develop a suitable care plan. We will encourage and promote all of our residents to be in control of their future whilst we support them with a range of activities, from looking after their home, personal care or getting out into the community.

Accessing Support

We enable children and young people to live the life they choose.

We involve the young person and those who know them well in the design and delivery of their support, and place each young person at the centre of decision-making.

We use Person-Centred Approach so that each individual is actively encouraged and supported to take part in activities and is able to grow and develop their skills and independence.

Our robust support plans are outcome-based so that people progress to meet their short, medium and longer term goals. Young people benefit from our round the clock support staff who regularly reviews their support.

We adapt support to each young person’s daily activities, be that school, college, training or employment. We can provide additional support in the mornings, evenings and at weekends to enable each person to lead a full and varied life.

If needed, we can provide continuity of support to young people.

Our Support Approach

We will support our young people to take control of their lives and behaviours by adopting a robust, yet flexible, approach that adapts in line with their changing needs.

Our approach to supporting traumatised young people includes:

  • Developing and building meaningful relationships.

  • Building resilience and adopting strength-based approaches such as music, dance or exercise.

  • Helping them learn strategies to regulate themselves.

  • Assisting them in developing emotional skills and accountability.

  • Using positive reinforcement as a means of building confidence and capitalising upon progress.

We firmly believe that young people who have suffered ACEs can not only recover from their experiences, but can go on to lead happy and fulfilled lives and be even more productive and loving than their non-traumatised peers.

This will not always be easy; however we are committed to helping our young people recover on their journey and we understand the necessity of enduring and consistent support.
