Morale Homes provides high quality supported living services and outreach services to children and young people with learning disabilities, mental health and autism spectrum. Morale Homes operate throughout Staffordshire and surrounding areas working closely with Staffordshire Council.
Morale Homes works with children and young people in care, on the edge of care or leaving care. All our homes and services are designed with children and young people at heart to ensure they are fit for purpose, offering the right support and achieve the best outcomes.
We always thrive in adapting with the constant changes amongst the people whom we support and continue to develop and enhancing our high-quality care and support services to ensure that we remain competent and provide a service that is fit for purpose.
The type of accommodation we offer varies depending on the young person. However, no matter which one of our supported housing services they live in, staff will always support children and young people to work towards their goals and build their confidence for the future.
For care leavers, our Aftercare team offer advice and support to help them on their journey to independence. Our service is available to any young person who wants to seek advice from staff on issues like managing tenancies, drug and alcohol awareness, or securing employment.
Our semi-independent homes are more than just somewhere to live. They bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood so that a young person is prepared for the challenges of living independently.
Some young people refer to leaving care as ‘the instant expectation of adulthood’. They are suddenly expected to know how to cook their own meals, run a home and manage their finances, all in one go and without any support.
This is why living in our homes can be hugely beneficial. We provide safe, comfortable homes for children, adolescents and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, where they can learn the essential life skills they will need when they transition to independent living.
As with all of our children and young people homes, our residents benefit from ‘Morale Homes model of supported living, with 24/7 support onsite.
Our staff provide 24/7 support for people with mental health, learning disabilities and autism. Our residents are referred to us from other external agencies such as local authorities and a number of different pathways, they may need ongoing support or just a short stay break. Our experienced and well trained staff are available everyday of the year to help our residents to achieve their next steps, from simple tasks such as time keeping, dieting and budgeting to longer-term goals such as finding schools, college or gaining employment.
